Full Description

These requirements cover self-contained coin, credit card, debit card, currency, and token changers and actuators rated not more than 600 volts for use inaccordance with the National Electrical Code, NFPA 70.

These requirements cover open-type appliances intended to be factory or field installed in vendin g machines and other appliances.

These requirements cover open-type controls for use with coin, credit card, debit card, currency, and token-operated devices intended to be factory installed withinvending machines and other appliances.

These requirements do not cover the effectiveness of antitheft protection features.

A product that contains features, characteristics, components, materials, or systems new or different from those in use when the Standard was developed, and thatinvolves a risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons, shall be evaluated using the appropriate additional component and end-product requirements as determinednecessary to mai ntain the level of safety for the user of the product as originally anticipated by the intent of this Standard.
