T514A.9-A These requirements cover metallic outlet boxes,flush-device boxes, floor boxes, concrete boxes, extension rings,covers, flush-device cover plates, conduit bodies, bar hangers, andbar-hanger assemblies to be employed in accordance with theNational Electrical Code, NFPA 70.

T514A.9-A These requirements do not cover outlet boxes or covers foruse in hazardous locations as defined in the National Electrical Code,NFPA 70.

T514A.9-A These requirements do not cover junction boxes for usewith underwater lighting fixtures for swimming pools.

T514A.9-A These requirements do not cover cabinets and cutoutboxes, boxes and covers intended for use with raceway systems forsurface wiring other than rigid or flexible conduit or electrical metallictubing, nor boxes with a volume of more than 100 cubic inches (1639cm3), except multiple-gang, flush-device boxes, and conduit bodiesusually for the larger trade sizes of conduit.

A product whose features, characteristics, components,materials, or systems conflict with specific requirements or provisionsof this standard does not comply with this standard. Revision ofrequirements shall be proposed and adopted in conformance with themethods employed for development, revision, and implementation ofthis standard.
