This paper summarizes the history and purpose of Tampa Bay Water's 25-mgd seawaterdesalination facility, the original design of the plant, modifications being made to theplant so that its performance will meet contractual standards, pilot tests conducted toevaluate the performance of proposed modifications, the current status of the remediationconstruction, and plans to resume operation of the plant this spring. Includes figure.
