Full Description
New England's drinking water supply quality is threatened by construction and use of interstate highways. Potential problems include erosion, runoff of sodium, deicing chemicals, and storm water, increased turbidity, contamination by toxic spills, and secondary impacts such as increases in population density, development, access to watersheds, and vandalism.
