Full Description
Features to be considered for the efficient operation of any water system during the next decade are meeting future consumption demands, inflation, rising costs of chemicals, energy, labor, and materials. A system should be engineered and constructed to meet future peak demands without interruptions to customers, and to ensure maximum availability of water. The Atlanta, Georgia water system has established a computer control system to provide an accurate, reliable reporting process. Pumping stations, computer versatility, pressure, flow rates, and energy conservation are discussed.
