Full Description
This article sums up a number of legislative actions that include: the Congressional spending cuts to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (USEPA's) clean and safe water programs, that were made to lower the budget deficit; approval of $309.9 million in cost-share grants for hundreds of "targeted" local projects in every state, called "pork" by critics; cuts to major federal funding for water and wastewater infrastructure; despite a tight budget and cutbacks, the article does outline what appears to be signals that indicate continued bipartisan backing for some form of additional assistance for infrastructure projects.
