Full Description
Lime-soda softening used in water treatment to reduce hardness may have the potential to remove organic compounds. The effects of this process on the removal of several humic acids are organic chemical compounds under various conditions are studied. The characteristics of lime- and and soda-induced precipitates are discussed, including the results of an x-ray diffraction analyses. Includes 61 references, tables, figures.
