The conventional approach to forecasting future per capita water consumption - extrapolating the trend of increasing consumption which has prevailed over the past 30 years - will have to be reevaluated in view of an apparent leveling off of demand in the Pacific Northwest. Industrial, commercial, and domestic (residential) water use trends are discussed. Includes Graph.
