This month's column examines another of refrigeration's three most famous names - Lord Kelvin. You may not know that despite 50 years as a professor at Glasgow University, he was actually born and raised in Northern Ireland and educated in England. The column also reveals the colorful -- and memorable -- method in which he demonstrated the principal of conservation of momentum.
