Loop Forms Plus provides the instrument engineer with a "no-nonsense" software development tool for generating instrument loop sheet drawings. With a database management system (DBMS) to maintain data integrity for each instrument's information parameters and wiring information, informative reports are easily assessed that provide instrument lists as well as wiring information for junction boxes, marshaling cabinets, control panels, point- to-point and input/output requirements.

With features such as a QuickLoops, instant loop reports are available to quickly view loop wiring via generic loop sheet forms. To interface to the AutoCAD drawing platform, a unique loop drawing template interface is provided. Configuration displays are also included to allow the user to setup previously created loop drawings in AutoCAD's dwg format or AutoCAD-LT 95 or 98. These loop templates can be assigned via the DBMS to an instrument loop so when generating the loop drawing files the defined wiring information is transferred from theDBMS to the template.

Overview Loop Forms Plus utilizes a user friendly operator interface developed in a DBMS environment to enable data loading of instrument attributes and wiring information that is familiar to the instrument engineer. From the instrument index table view, all instrument attributes are loaded. Pick tables with type ahead feature are included on selected fields for quick referencing of previously entered data. Through a unique cable configuration display and operator prompts setup in the DBMS, a multi-conductor cable can be laid out for the field junction boxes and marshaling cabinets in just a few minutes.
