This method is intended as a qualitative method to detect carbonyl sulfide in liquid propane at the ppm level. The data obtained during the development of this method do not indicate that it provides an accurate determination and this method should not be used for certification purposes. A chromatographic method is recommended to obtain the most precise and accurate determination of carbonyl sulfide in propane.
