This Standard covers the requirement for the design and installation of fire alarm systems with or without voice communications capability. Amendment 1 contains revisions and additional requirements to the Standard that are intended to clarify the provisions in the last Edition.

CAN/ULC-S524-06 is now being re-published to include Amendment 1, and all users of this Standard are advised to obtain this complete version.
